Welcome to my website!

I’m a Survey Scientist on the Survey Operations team for Morning Consult (August 2023). I also hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Houston (2023). Prior to working on my Ph.D. at UH, I received my M.A. degrees in Political Science (with honors and distinction) from both the University of West Florida (2018) and University of Houston (2022) and my B.A. degrees in Political Science and History (Magna Cum Laude) from Centenary College of Louisiana (2016).

My primary research interests focus on the intersection of political behavior, public opinion and media effects with a particular focus on the role that social media plays. My quantitative expertise is in observational and experimental survey research, with some additional specialty in textual analysis and web-scraping of social media platforms. Some of my solo and co-authored work has been published in Political Research Quarterly, Presidential Studies Quarterly, American Politics Research, Party Politics, and Research and Politics.

More specifically, my dissertation explored how social media and celebrity activism online affect younger Americans’ political socialization and their entry into the political sphere using survey experiments and observational data.

Outside of academia, I serve on the board for a non-profit called Coastal Connection whose mission focuses on making international and domestic healthcare access more equitable, empowering women through investment initiatives, and promoting primary and secondary education abroad. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, my canine partner in crime Jazz, and playing golf and (more recently) tennis competitively.
