“Political Socialization by Celebrity: Exploring the Influence of Celebrity Activism on Youth Political Attitudes and Behavior”

    • My dissertation explores the way that the media environment today with social media, combined with the role of celebrities and influencers, might differentially affect younger Americans’ political socialization. It utilizes both observational survey data and multiple novel survey experiments to explore how individuals today engage in, learn about, and mobilize around political life through social media and celebrities.
